HCA’s Extended Day programs provide Lower School and Upper School students with a safe, structured and supervised environment outside of normal school hours.
Designed to support the needs of our families, each program offers age-appropriate care and activities in a welcoming Christian environment. Program options and schedules vary by grade level. Select a program below to learn more about Extended Day for Lower School and Upper School students.
Lower School Extended Day Information
GENERAL INFORMATION
Morning Procedures (7 a.m. to 7:40 a.m.)
Morning hours begin at 7 a.m. and last until the school day begins. Drop-off is located on the side of the Hebron Center at the Extended Day door. There are no scheduled activities during morning hours. Students may complete homework, read, or eat breakfast, which they bring from home.
Afternoon Procedures (Dismissal to 6 p.m.)
Parents will pick up their student(s) in the EDP building and students must be signed out by a parent or other authority with prior approval. Snacks are provided – usually two food choices each day and water. Parents may pack a drink and/or alternative snack.
Behavior
Good behavior is essential to maintaining a positive, safe and secure environment for everyone. Students participating in the HCA Extended Day Program are expected to follow all program rules and behavioral expectations. Parents will be notified of unacceptable behavior. If a student’s behavior becomes a recurring problem, appropriate action will be taken.
Inclement Weather
Occasionally, it may be necessary to close the Extended Day Program early due to severe weather conditions. Parents should be prepared to pick up their student from the Extended Day building. If the program closes early, parents will receive an email and phone call with important details.
Personal Items
Students are not permitted to bring personal electronic devices, including cell phones, iPads or digital gaming devices.
Jackets, backpacks, lunchboxes and other items left at the end of the day will be placed in the EDP lost and found. Parents are encouraged to check the lost and found regularly. Unclaimed items will be donated periodically.

Registration Fee
- $20 per student (non-refundable)
Before School Only (7 a.m. to 7:40 a.m.)
- Monthly - $100 per child
- Daily (Drop-in) - $5 per child
- Monthly fees will be charged regardless of the number of days attended. Daily (drop-in) fees will be charged regardless of the number of hours attended.
After School Only (Dismissal to 6 p.m.)
- Monthly - $360 per child (per semester commitment, Aug.-Dec. and Jan.-May)
- Daily (drop-in) - $40 per child
- Monthly fees will be charged regardless of the number of days attended. Daily (drop-in) fees will be charged regardless of the number of hours attended.
Early Release Day Fees
- Drop-in students will be charged the regular drop-in fee of $60 daily per child.
- Lunch is provided; you may bring your own lunch instead.
Late Pick-up Fees
- Late EDP pick-up fees will be charged to your monthly statement.
- Parents arriving after 6 p.m. will be charged a fee of $25 per 15 minutes, or any part of 15 minutes, per family.
- Parents arriving after 6:30 p.m. will be charged a fee of $50, plus an additional $1 per minute, per family.
- Late carpool pick-up fees will be charged to your monthly statement.
- Students who are not picked up during carpool will be taken to extended day and parents will be charged a daily drop-in fee of $40 per child. Children who are not already registered for Extended Day will also be required to complete an enrollment form and pay a $20 non-refundable per student registration fee.
Payment
- Billing will be made through Blackbaud Billing Management on the 20th of each month.
Upper School Extended Day Information
GENERAL INFORMATION
About the Program
Upper School Extended Day provides a safe, supervised environment for students who need to remain on campus after school. Students will be assigned to a classroom overseen by an Extended Day staff member, where they may study, read or complete schoolwork. This program allows students to remain on campus in a monitored environment while providing additional support for HCA families.
After-School Supervision and Pick-Up
Students may be picked up between 2:50 and 3:30 p.m. on regular school days. After 3:30 p.m., students must be participating in a supervised after-school activity or report to the Extended Day rooms in the E Building. Any student found on campus without supervision will be sent to Extended Day and parents will be charged a daily drop-in fee of $40 per student. Students who are not already registered for Extended Day will also be required to complete an enrollment form and pay a $20 non-refundable per student registration fee.

Hours of Operation
Upper School Extended Day is available from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. on every full day of school. Extended Day will not be offered on the Upper School campus on early release days. Students must be picked up at the scheduled dismissal time on those days.
Procedures
To ensure all students are safe and accounted for while on campus, any student who is not with a staff member, such as a coach, teacher or club leader, after 3:30 p.m. will be directed to Extended Day. The student’s family will be charged the daily drop-in rate.

Behavior & Snacks
Students will remain in a supervised classroom during Extended Day. The classroom will serve as a quiet study area, and students are expected to complete schoolwork, read or participate in another quiet activity. Extended Day staff will contact the appropriate school personnel if behavioral concerns arise.
Students will receive one snack during Extended Day and may choose from a variety of healthy options. Students are also welcome to bring their own snack.
