Drama

The Dramatic Arts Program at Hebron Christian Academy provides opportunities for students to learn and express themselves through theater. Whether in a drama class or participating in a drama production, students will have opportunities to grow and develop skills in acting, leadership, lighting and sound technology, backstage management, set design and construction, musical production, choreography, and teamwork.

For the middle school student, we offer the Broadway Jr class, in which students will participate in our yearly middle school musical production. Past Broadway Jr productions include: Schoolhouse Rocks!, Beauty and the Beast, Singin’ In The Rain, and Cinderella.   For the high school student, we offer the high school drama class, in which students learn theater history, develop acting skills through games and monologues, participate in reader’s theater, and produce a student-directed play.

Both middle and high school students have the opportunity to audition and participate in both the annual HCA Fall Play and the annual HCA Spring Musical. These productions are rehearsed and produced during “after-school” hours. We also offer opportunities to perform in one-act play and literary competitions.

In all these opportunities and productions, we strive to love and encourage each other, honoring Jesus with our actions and words. We believe the greatest expression of our artistic and theatrical talents is to radiate God’s love to all.
Providing a Christ-centered learning community that challenges all students to realize their greatest potential for transforming their world and impacting their culture.
