HCA Announces Academic Honors for the Class of 2025

DACULA, Ga. – Hebron Christian Academy is pleased to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, led by the valedictorian for the Class of 2025, Katie Beth Mock, and the salutatorian, Marco Perez.

Katie Beth Mock has been a student at HCA since the sixth grade and earned the honor of Valedictorian after being named an AP Scholar with Distinction and a Georgia Certificate of Merit recipient for the Class of 2025. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, serves as the Student Council Vice President, and is a Lion Pal teacher aide at Lions Learning Academy. Additionally, she is a member of the Student Life Committee, the varsity sideline and competition cheer teams, and serves as a middle school girls’ small group leader at 12Stone Church. Katie Beth plans to attend the University of Georgia.

Marco Perez started attending HCA in kindergarten and earned the honor of Salutatorian after being named an AP Scholar with Distinction and receiving the Georgia Certificate of Merit. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Spanish Honor Society. He was awarded the National Hispanic Recognition Award and was named a Junior Marshal at HCA last year. Marco participates in cross country, track & field, soccer, Student Life, and outreach activities. He plans to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology and major in Industrial Engineering.

We celebrate this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing all the ways you will impact the world for God’s glory. Well done!"

The valedictorian and salutatorian will be recognized and will speak at the Class of 2025 graduation, which will be held on Friday, May 16, at Hebron Church.

In addition to recognizing the valedictorian and salutatorian, HCA is excited to honor additional students for their outstanding academic achievements.

Sophomore Jason Utayev (Social Studies) advanced to the semifinal round of the Governor's Honors Program and completed the interview process. The following students were also nominated for the program: Carolina Annett (Theatre), Sophia Burnet (Biology), Kate Cornett (Communicative Arts), Daniel Jacob (Social Studies), Ethan Kim (Mathematics), Matthew Kirk (Physics), Sarah Mix (Biology), Jeremiah Price (Music), and Daniel Tolbert (Visual Arts).

The following junior students are being recognized with the Georgia Certificate of Merit from the University of Georgia: Carolina Annett, Nathan Boot, Sophia Burnet, Kate Cornett, Adalaide Dowden, Kelly Dyson, Brooke Epps, Reagan Eve, Dalton Harris, Daniel Jacob, Layla Melton, Sarah Mix, Hera Shin, and Max Steve.
