HCA Announces Academic Honors for the Class of 2024

DACULA, Ga. – Hebron Christian Academy is pleased to recognize a number of students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, led by the valedictorian for the class of 2024, Isabella Annett, and the salutatorian, Hunter Ward.

Isabella has been at HCA since the 4th grade and was previously recognized as the STAR Student for HCA based on her class rank and SAT test scores. Her acceptances include the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Wheaton College, and she has decided to attend Samford University in the fall where she will be a University Fellow studying Law, Politics, and Society. 

Hunter has attended HCA since Kindergarten! His acceptances include Auburn, Baylor, and Georgia Tech, and he has decided to attend the University of Georgia in the fall where he plans to earn a double major in Finance and Real Estate. 

"Congratulations to Isabella Annett and Hunter Ward for earning the high accolade of Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively, for the class of 2024,” said HCA Head of School Dr. James Taylor. “As long-time Hebron students, your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have set you apart, and we can't wait to see you excel for years to come. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!"

The valedictorian and salutatorian will be recognized and speak at graduation for the class of 2024, which will be held on Friday, May 17 at Hebron Church.

Along with the valedictorian and salutatorian, HCA is also recognizing a series of student representatives for the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program. 

Ruby Darter (Communicative Arts) and Sydney Gossling (Visual Arts) have both advanced as semifinalists where an intensive interview process will determine if they continue to advance through the program. 

Six other students were nominated for the program, including Carolina Annett (Theatre Performance), Madison Connor (Communicative Arts), Kate Cornett (Social Studies), Adalaide Dowden (Biology/Environmental Science), Daniel Jacob (Social Studies), and Matthew Kirk (Mathematics).
