Softball Honors Two Seniors and Defeats Monroe Area 9-1

DACULA, Ga.- The Hebron softball team had an eventful night on Tuesday as the team honored their seniors Morgan Smith and Sydney Samples and won 9-1 over Monroe Area.

Before the game, HCA honored their seniors Morgan Smith and Sydney Samples for their accomplishments during their time as a Lion. 

The Lions improve to 18-8 and 9-1 in region play. On the mound this week, Gwen Hill recorded her 200th strikeout of the season against Monroe Area and 300th strikeout of her career against Hart County on Monday, Oct. 2.

At bat, Hebron was led by seniors Smith and Samples, who each had two hits on the night. Smith was also named Stockton Mortgage Athlete of the Week after her performances the week prior. 

Up Next: The Lions will finish the regular season with a home game against Peachtree Ridge on Monday, Oct. 9. Start time is at 5:30 p.m.
