DACULA, Ga.- The Hebron girls flag football team begins their season on Wednesday, Sept. 27 with home scrimmages against Decatur and Greater Atlanta Christian School. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The Lions finished last season with an 18-2 overall, 5-0 region record. The team made it to the Sweet Sixteen under the direction of third year head coach, Chad Griffin. In 2021, the Lions was named Area Champions and made it to the State Qualifier.
Offensively, Mia James recorded a total of 17 rushing and 29 passing touchdowns on the season as quarterback. Wide receiver, Amiya Porter had 45.6 receiving yards per game. Defensively, Bailey Rogers tallied 2.8 sacks per game and had a total of 11 on the year.
HCA ranked No. 1 in the D1 Area 7 West Region for girls flag football last year. The Lions look to continue to build off their success heading into Wednesday's contests.
