DACULA, Ga.- The Hebron boys basketball team will be back in action on Thursday, Nov. 9 for their first scrimmage of the year against Arabia Mountain. Then, the Lions set their sights on the first official game of the season versus Parkview. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Lions Arena.
The Hebron roster is compiled of six seniors, four juniors, four sophomores, and one freshman. The team finished 13-17, 5-5 on the year and made it to the Sweet Sixteen where the Lions faced familiar foe, Douglass. After a hard-fought batte, the Lions ultimately fell to Douglass 74-43.
In the Class 3A preseason poll, Hebron ranks in the Top-10 as the No. 9 team behind Long County. Key playmakers for this Lion team will be Blake Wilson, Carrington Coombs, Jelani Smith-Mason, Devon McField, and MaTaj Glover.
Head coach Derrick Mason is in his second season at the helm of the Hebron basketball program. He is assisted by Alex Thomas, Greg Robinson, and Walter Crews.
