LILBURN, Ga.- The Hebron head softball coach Brittany Lewis captured her 100th win as a head coach after the Lions defeated Providence Christian 4-1 on Tuesday night. At the start of her sixth year as a head coach and second year at Hebron, Lewis has made a name for herself.

Pitcher Gwen Hill had quite a night as she tallied 16 strikeouts for the Lions from the mound. Hill recorded zero hits and zero runs over eight and one-third innings while walking two. Pitching for the Lions was dominant as two pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter.

The Lions got on the board first in the fourth inning with a hit from Brittyn Sissom as she had a double and scored one run. Providence Christian was able to get on the board to tie the game at one in the bottom of the fifth after HCA committed an error.

At the top of the ninth, the Lions were able to regain the lead when Reagon Eve hit a sacrifice fly to score two runs. Morgan Smith had a double to extend the lead to 4-1. Hebron improves to 3-3 on the season.

"This is my start of my sixth year coaching and I've been blessed to coach many great young ladies. I'm super excited to be able to share this milestone with this exact group of girls at the best school," said Lewis.
