DACULA, Ga. – Hebron Christian Academy Director of Athletics Taylor Davis has announced the hiring of Kenny Dallas as the new head football coach. He joins Hebron with an exceptional record of leadership, a proven history of championship success on the field, and a passion for mentoring student-athletes.
Coach Dallas joins Hebron from Trinity Christian School in Sharpsburg, Georgia, where he led the program to unprecedented success in his eight years, including a GHSA state title and three state championship game appearances. As a testament to his ability to develop players, 28 of his athletes have gone on to play college football during the past four seasons.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kenny Dallas to the Hebron family," said HCA Head of School Dr. James Taylor. "His vision for building a Christ-centered football program aligns perfectly with our mission to develop students spiritually, academically, and athletically. We are confident his leadership will make a lasting impact on our athletes and the entire Hebron community."
A defensive mastermind, Dallas had a remarkable two-year stretch at Trinity from 2020-2021 where he led the Lions to a 26-3 record, including a state runner-up finish in 2020 and a state championship in 2021, defeating Prince Avenue Christian School 55-28 to secure the GHSA state title with a perfect 14-0 record. During the 29-game span, he had a staggering 1149-394 margin of victory, allowing just 13.5 points per game.
"We are beyond excited to welcome Coach Dallas to HCA,” said Director of Athletics Taylor Davis. “He brings a wealth of experience from Christian private schools, coupled with a proven track record of success at every stop in his career. Coach Dallas is the perfect fit to lead our football program as we strive for excellence on and off the field. I look forward to seeing his impact within the football program but also across our HCA campus and throughout our community.”
In his first head coaching position, Dallas spent 11 seasons at the helm of the Landmark Christian School football program, leading the War Eagles to an 88-41 record. During his tenure at Landmark, he posted 11 consecutive winning seasons, including a trip to the 2011 Class A state championship game against Savannah Christian.
In his 19 years as a head coach, he has 18 winning seasons, six double-digit win seasons, and four state championship game appearances.
"I am excited and honored to be the next head football coach at Hebron Christian,” said Dallas. “I want the young men and families in the football program to know that we will have two clear goals: (1) to UNASHAMEDLY honor God and (2) to UNASHAMEDLY win! I have been blessed to coach in seven state championship games over the past 12 years here in Georgia. That level of success only happens when you have GREAT players and GREAT coaches who fully embrace the hard truth: CHAMPIONS ARE BUILT WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING! Young men of Hebron, I can’t wait to get there with you and DO WORK!"
Between his two head coaching positions, he spent three seasons at Eagles Landing Christian Academy as the Associate Head Coach from 2014-16, coordinating a stifling defensive unit that helped lead ELCA to three consecutive state championship games, including back-to-back GHSA State Championships. During the back-to-back championship seasons, Dallas’ defense allowed just 10.4 points per game and tallied nine shutouts.
Dallas takes over a Hebron team coming off its best finish in the 18-year history of the program. The Lions posted a 12-2 record and captured the 2024 GHSA State Championship with a 56-28 victory over Prince Avenue.
Dallas and his wife, Shannon, have been married for 31 years and are proud parents to six children. Their oldest sons, Jake and Caleb, are both married, while their middle sons, Josh and David, are both engaged to be married this summer. Josh is also a starting wide receiver and punt return specialist at Georgia Southern. Their youngest children, Elly (11th grade) and Zech (9th grade), will attend Hebron Christian Academy. The family also celebrated their newest addition earlier this year, a two-month-old granddaughter, Aurelia Blaze.
