DACULA, Ga. - Hebron Christian Academy Director of Athletics Taylor Davis has announced the addition of Brittany Lewis as the new head softball coach for the 2022 season.

Coach Lewis comes to HCA from Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, Georgia, where she served as the head coach for the past three seasons. During her time at the helm of the program, Lewis established the Patriots as one of the best teams in the state of Georgia, qualifying for the state tournament each season, winning two region championships and finishing as the state runner-up in 2020.

"Our Hebron softball program is getting one of the best coaches in the state, and I couldn’t be more excited to see what is going to take place in the years to come," said Davis. "More importantly, Coach Lewis desires to develop young women and point them to Christ on and off the field. It is an honor that the Lewis family is joining us this upcoming year, and I look forward to welcoming their entire family to the Hebron community."

In addition to her success at Strong Rock, Lewis is also well known in the travel softball world, coaching for the Tennessee Mojo travel organization since 2017. Her teams have played a national schedule and seen plenty of success, including most recently winning a tournament out west for their 14U age group.

"From the time Hebron became an option for our family, the faculty and coaches have been nothing short of intentional and amazing," said Lewis. "We are excited to continue the Lord’s work in our lives on this campus impacting as many student-athletes as we can. I am looking forward to building a championship program that glorifies the Lord on and off the field!"

Lewis loves the Lord and has a passion for her students both athletically and spiritually. She will teach sophomore Bible classes in addition to her duties on the field.

Coach Lewis is married to her husband, Ty, who will also be joining HCA in a variety of roles, including as an assistant coach in softball, basketball and baseball. With a business education background, he will be teaching middle school and high school business classes.

The couple has three children, Brodie (12), Easton (10), and Macie-Rae (7).
