  • HCA's Safe School Strategy

How good it is to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our God is in control of every step of our lives. When we are His children, every fear, every concern, every worry, and all our steps are directed by a loving Creator. We have been encouraged in 2 Timothy 1:7 with the promise, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” In this concise verse, we are encouraged to be bold, but we are also encouraged to utilize our God-given intellect. This mindset provides the foundation for our SAFE SCHOOL STRATEGY for the 2020/2021 school year—be bold and be wise.

  • 2020 SENIOR VISUAL ARTS SHOW

As we close out the school year, we wanted to take an opportunity to recognize our senior artists.  Normally, we would have hosted an art show that would feature an incredible display of the artistry they have been blessed with by God, but since we cannot host the show we decided to bring it to you!  Mrs. Rice ran with an idea to feature senior artwork online – you can see information about each piece and even Like your favorites!  Please take a look at the link HERE and see a display of some incredible talent!  A big thank you to Mrs. Rice for working on this project and congratulations to all of our seniors!

  • April 21 - A Message from Our Principals

    Dear HCA Families,

The announcement from Governor Kemp yesterday brings a sense of cautious optimism that we are headed in the right direction with COVID-19 and that things will slowly begin returning to normal – or at least what our new normal will be. Since the beginning, we have mentioned that we wanted to ensure our response at Hebron Christian Academy was based on facts. We recognize that we serve a specific community and have the ability to be more flexible than the public school system. While we are passionate about education and the opportunity to minister to each of your families, ultimately our first priority is the safety of our students, staff, and extended families. We are hopeful that as Georgia begins going through steps to reopen areas of society we may be able to safely host some year-end activities, but those decisions will not be finalized until we have the opportunity to watch things unfold and complete further evaluation. Digital learning, however, will continue for the remainder of the school year, because as much as we want to see our students again in May, we want to see everyone safely return in August!

  • Creativity Isn't Canceled - Color Wheel Challenge

Julia Cameron once said, “Creativity is God’s gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God.” Recently, Laura Rice’s middle school art class was given the “Color Wheel Challenge,” which involved using found objects around their homes to create color wheels. What an amazing way to use the creativity God has given us, especially during this time. #creativityisntcanceled #colorwheelchallenge #foundobjectcolorwheel

  • On Display: HCA's Healthy Citizenship Program

At HCA, we do more than prepare our students for college and careers. We also find ways to prepare them for life – teaching them lessons that help them grow up to be the men and women God created them to be. One way we are doing this is our Healthy Citizenship Program, which is designed to instill responsibility in our middle-school students through the “5 Pillars of a Good Citizen.” Students came up with ways they could show kindness throughout the school year, and then put their pledges into action. Each month, 6th–8th-grade teachers select a boy and girl from each grade who are demonstrating good citizenship to receive a Citizenship Award and have their pictures featured on our HCP display. #kindnesspledge #HealthyCitizenshipProgram
