The mission of the technology department is to challenge and engage both teachers and students by providing quality educational programs, relevant technology, and support services in a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment in order to prepare all students to be lifelong learners, responsible digital citizens, and creative contributing members of a global society.
We believe that providing one device for each student and teacher enhances classroom instruction and enables the students to extend their learning experiences outside the classroom.

In each classroom, teachers and students have access to robust WiFi, all of the tools provided by Google Workspace for Education, a host of cloud-based tools to enhance the learning experience, as well as a 75-inch interactive panel, allowing them to display and interact with lessons and materials.
🔐Data Security and Filtering
We know that online student safety is a priority for every parent. We know because we have students too, and, as parents, we don’t want our students to accidentally end up someplace they shouldn’t. At HCA, we have deployed several security and filtering measures to help ensure students are safe while accessing the information and tools we provide for them to enhance their learning experience. In addition to top-of-the-line security firewalls and filters on the local network, we have also partnered with GoGuardian to help unify our student device filtering, classroom engagement, and school mental health tools into one suite of tools.
Using the GoGuardian filtering tools, student devices are monitored both on and off campus. In addition, parents are able to manage their devices using the GoGuardian Parent App, which gives parents direct access to student online activity reports and filtering controls at home. Additional filtering and internet pausing controls make GoGuardian the perfect companion to our 1:1 technology program.
GoGuardian Teacher gives our teachers a real-time view into student work and the ability to manage digital resources by class or individual. It helps teachers create engaging, personalized learning environments while utilizing our 1:1 technology confidently knowing that students have teacher-created guidelines for digital exploration.
GoGuardian takes the filtering to the next level using Smart Alerts. This feature uses advanced machine learning algorithms to continuously monitor student behavior for inappropriate content or at-risk behavior. Smart Alerts actively scans web pages in real-time and categorizes content and alerts the administration to activities that need to be reviewed.

support for students and parents
The Hebron HUB is our student information and learning management software created by Blackbaud. It is the central location for all the information that parents and students need to stay up to date with activities, schedules, grades, sports, clubs, and communication. All parents and students are given individual account access in order to personalize the experience in the HUB.
