What does the Bible say about going?  What does the Bible say about telling? What does the Bible say about serving?

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.

Acts 13:47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth."

1Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

HCA has been a longtime supporter of the hands-on ministry, Operation Christmas Child.  We support OCC because its mission to "provide spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world" aligns with our mission to provide students Christ-centered learning by teaching students the value of serving others.

Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries.

HCA students will once again join the project by packing empty shoeboxes with a "wow" item, like a doll or soccer ball, along with other fun toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and notes of encouragement.  Students 13 years and older can volunteer to serve at the Suwanee processing center in late November and early December.  Parent volunteers are also needed at the processing center, so if you’re interested, please sign up.  Students will earn CIA service hours, but more importantly, have their eyes opened to the needs around our world.
