HCA has been a longtime supporter of the hands-on ministry, Operation Christmas Child. We support OCC because its mission to "provide spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world" aligns with our mission to provide students Christ-centered learning by teaching students the value of serving others.
Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries.
HCA students will once again join the project by packing empty shoeboxes with a "wow" item, like a doll or soccer ball, along with other fun toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and notes of encouragement. Students 13 years and older can volunteer to serve at the Suwanee processing center in late November and early December. Parent volunteers are also needed at the processing center, so if you’re interested, please sign up. Students will earn CIA service hours, but more importantly, have their eyes opened to the needs around our world.

Vision: Equipping future leaders to be a transforming influence on their culture for Christ.
Service: Learning, modeling, and practicing servant leadership is essential to worldview and leadership development. Tangible evidence of placing the needs of others before self is expected. We encourage students to follow Christ’s example of leadership through servanthood.
