Hebron Christian Academy is pleased to announce the addition of the interactive technology known as the Promethean ActiveBoard2 for all campuses. The Promethean Activeboard2 is a UK Company and the oldest established interactive electronic tool designed for education, winning numerous awards.
Promethean software, along with online databases, will allow teachers to download teaching ideas from all over the world and begin using them immediately. These teaching ideas can be edited with the Promethean software to produce HCA curriculum teaching aids. These smart boards can be likened to an interactive PowerPoint and once training is complete, our teachers will be able to develop their own “flip charts” to use in the classroom. The ActiveBoard employs a computer/projector to generate graphics, text, and sound producing an exceptional teaching aid in the classroom.
There are five Activeboards being installed this summer. One has already been installed in the elementary computer lab. An additional ActiveBoard will be installed in the middle school media lab (formerly the high school library). Three more will be installed in the biology lab, physics lab, and in the high school research lab in the Science and Technology Building.
Not only is Hebron Christian Academy offering this exceptional technology for our teacher’s use in the classroom, in addition the elementary computer lab has been updated to Microsoft Vista Business, complete with high definition LCD monitors. This same technology will be employed in the computer labs in the Science and Technology building.
