Hebron Christian Academy - Student Health Services

The student health services department is committed to assuring a safe and healthy environment for all of our students. We currently have a dedicated registered RN on staff that is an expert in working with kids of all ages.

Meet the nurse:

  • Michelle Newell, RN BSN. Attended Pensacola Christian College in Florida, where she received her BSN. She later went on to become an RN in the state of Georgia. Michelle has extensive experience in various areas of healthcare, staff development and educational services. She has a passion for working with youth and recently completed a mission trip to Uganda, where she worked with several youth and their families while there.

Services we offer:

  • The nurse will work with students, families and school staff to ensure that all children are successful in school through arriving well-rested, well-fed and ready to learn.
  • The nurse will also make sure that students have received their required screenings, are compliant and up-to date with immunizations, have required individual health plans in place (IHPs), and school staff are trained on the essential individual needs of students with chronic health conditions.
  • The nurse will help provide and support a positive, safe school climate, provide direct nursing care and medication administration to students as needed.
