Hebron Christian Academy's Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Hebron Christian Academy functions in two distinct roles. First, the Board provides oversight and accountability to and through its appointed Headmaster, to ensure that HCA continues to offer an excellent educational opportunity through a Biblical worldview. Our school mission is to prepare students spiritually, academically, physically and socially to become disciples of Jesus Christ, and that is the Board's primary concern. Second, the Board oversees and directs the financial security of the school to secure HCA's ability to remain financially viable and fiscally responsible, so that the school mission can be carried forward.

 

Steve Parr

Chairman 2017
Dr. Steve Parr holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Growth and Evangelism from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Masters of Divinity degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently the Vice President of Staff Coordination and Development with the Georgia Baptist Convention. He is a former teacher, coach, and later a staff member at Hebron Baptist Church. He was the first full-time staff member called to Hebron Baptist and served during the years of their phenomenal growth. In thirty plus years of ministry he has assisted thousands of churches in strengthening their ministries by motivating and training leaders through seminars, conferences, preaching, and personal consultations. Dr. Parr and his wife, Carolyn, have three adult children, Leah, Lauren, and Larissa. Joined the Board – 2015; Executive Committee Member – 2015

Kathy Moss Vice Chairman

Kathy Moss graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 1994 with an Accounting degree. Her accounting career includes several years in healthcare management and three years in public accounting after receiving her CPA license in 1995. Following the birth of her son, she left public accounting to work part time as an Accounting Manager for a UK company where she later became Controller and worked for 14 years. She is currently Controller at Future Realty and Mgmt., Co., and Stone Summit Climbing Gym in Atlanta. Kathy and her husband, Ronnie, have a son, Caleb, who attended HCA since Kindergarten and was in the graduating class of 2016. They are active members of Hebron Baptist Church. Glen Rowden Glen Rowden Glen Rowden grew up in upstate New York and served in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division after graduating high school in 1991. After the serving in the U.S. Army, he went to Ohio Auto Diesel Technical Institute where he received a degree Diesel and Automotive Technology. In October of 2000, Glen married Chrissy and in January of 2001 they moved to Honduras where they served as missionaries through Hebron Church. Glen, Chrissy, and their oldest son, Ethan returned from Honduras to join the staff at Hebron Church in 2003. Since then, their family has grown with the addition of Collin, Evan, and Caden. Today Glen serves as the Adult Ministry Team leader at Hebron Church. He and Chrissy lead an adult connect group together and are passionate about developing group leaders at Hebron Church. John Courtney

John Courtney is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He also received a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. After serving many years as a church planter in both Orlando, Florida and Gwinnett County, Georgia, he now serves as the Vice President for Marketing and Development at In Touch Ministries. In this capacity, he oversees broadcasting, creative services, magazine production, and web management. John and his wife, Beth, have been married for 19 years and have five children: Harley, Jett, CarsonAnn, Sadie, and Cruise. The Courtney family is involved at Hebron Baptist Church in various capacities. Joined the Board – 2014; Finance Committee Member – 2014-current

Cory Robinson Cory Robinson graduated from Georgia State University in 1992 with a finance degree. He has spent the bulk of his career in the finance and accounting industry. In 2012, he established his own CPA practice which is located in Dacula, Georgia. Cory and his wife, Angie, were married in 2001, and they have three daughters. Grace, Lilly, and Sarah all attend HCA. Cory and his family are active members of Hebron Baptist Church where Cory and Angie serve in the middle and elementary school ministries. Tim Rine Tim Rine grew up in Buffalo, NY. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from John Carroll University, in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1992. He moved to Georgia in 1995, by virtue of a job transfer with a prior employer.  Today, Tim works as a SE Regional Director of Sales for Wells Fargo Asset Management.     In November 2000, Tim married Tricia, who is also a devoted follower of Christ. They have two children, Preston and Sterling Ann, who currently attend HCA. The Rine’s have been members of Hebron Baptist Church since Spring 2005, and look forward to continuing their efforts to volunteer in Middle School Ministry as Connect Group leaders. Mark Eiken

Mark Eiken graduated from Concordia University, Chicago, in 1988 with a BA degree in Education.  He also received a Master’s degree from Wheaton College in 2000.  In his 28 years of ministry experience, Mark has served as the Education Director, Next Generation Director, Worship Leader, and Discipleship Director in various churches.  He is currently the Central Campus Pastor at 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville.  Mark is married to Tina, who is a teacher at Puckett’s Mill Elementary School.  Mark and Tina have three children: Carley, an Education major at Armstrong University, as well as Kayla and Marcus who both attend HCA. Scottie Johns

Scottie Johns grew up in Mississippi where he graduated from Mississippi State University in 1992 with a degree in Marketing.  It was there he met his wife, Cory, and they were married in 1992.  Scottie and Cory have two children, Spence and Grayson, who have attended HCA since Kindergarten.  Scottie has been a self-employed account executive with La-Z-Boy for over 15 years where he has covered the territories of North Georgia and Knoxville, Tennessee.  Scottie and Cory have been members of Hebron Baptist Church since 2005 where they host an off-campus Bible Study for married couples, volunteer in the Middle School department, and have a passion for International Missions. Keith Sproles

Keith Sproles holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Georgia State University.  Additionally, Keith holds a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation.  His finance career includes many years of working in estate planning, portfolio management, and as an investment analyst.  In 2004, Keith joined Advanced Financial Strategists, Inc. as Chief Investment Officer.  Keith married Brandy, his high school sweetheart, in 1997.  They have two daughters, Riley and Chloe, who attend HCA where they both actively participate in school plays and musicals.  The Sproles family attends 12Stone Church at Hamilton Mill. Jeni Bogdan

Jeni Bogdan Jeni graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech in 1989 and a Masters of Management of Technology from Georgia Tech in 1996. Her husband Jeff of twenty six years is a 1988 graduate of Georgia Tech in Industrial Management and also holds a Masters in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech in 1998. They live in Suwanee, Georgia and have three boys; Smith (20), Paul (19) and Will (13). Smith and Paul graduated from Hebron Christian Academy and currently attend Kennesaw State University and Auburn University respectively. Will is currently an 8th grade student at Hebron. The Bogdan family attends Gwinnett Church in Suwanee. Jeni is retired after spending 25 years in the heavy industrial construction industry as the founder of The Saxon Group, Inc. In 2012 Jeni was selected to serve on the Board for the Georgia Institute of Technology Scheller College of Business. She also currently serves on the Alexander Tharpe Fund Board of Directors for Georgia Tech Athletics and serves on the Executive Committee of The Georgia Tech Board of Trustees. Joined the Board-2017
